GDIT is seeking a Systems Administrator Senior (App Dev) to help support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) team on our I2TS4 contract in Savannah, GA at the Hunter Army Airfield.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR (APP DEV) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Plan, design, and build system images with operating systems and key mission applications to support training and operations.
Updating and patching Windows Gold/Master/SHB image
Test and provision systems with necessary drivers. Integrate applications with enterprise and organizational services and licensing.
Install, provision, and manage license hosts to support floating/concurrent licensing with various applications.
Identify and analyze system errors; work with users and vendors to resolve. Orchestrate patching, updates, and application deployment using organizational tools such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and BigFix.
Deploy and manage Elastic Sky X integrated (ESXi) Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for virtual servers and desktops including Virtual Graphics Processing Unit (vGPU) profiles.
Work closely with System Administrators (SA), Information System Owner (ISO), and Information System Security Officer (ISSO), to integrate compliance agents, patches, and STIGs in accordance with government standards, the Risk Management Framework, and various controls and overlays.
Create, manage, and deploy desktop pools on VMware Horizon
Patching and upgrading Horizon View.
Enhancing and fine-tuning performance on VDI desktop.
Securing VDI desktop policies in Active Directory and DEM (Device Endpoint Manager).
Develops advanced technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
Develops training materials for end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
Leads efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
Develops performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Certification(s):
IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
Computing Env: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Year's Experience: 12 years of experience
Skillset:
6 years of IT experience
1-2 years of hands on experience administering a Virtual Desktop Integration (VDI)
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support
Knowledge of related hardware and software
Additional:
Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
