The Farm's purpose is to support R&D and other divisions by ensuring successful breeding pipelines and variety delivery. As a Sr. Operator Farm you will be responsible for efficiently executing operational tasks related to open field crop growing and maintenance to support Breeding, Research, Operations, PD, and M&S programs and projects.
 

During your time as a Sr. Operator Farm, you will

• Execute work in cooperation with the Breeding, Research, Operations, PD, and M&S teams under the direction of the Sr. Farm Manager.
• Perform tractor work, connect and disconnect equipment, apply products to control pests and diseases. 
• Install, uninstall and repair irrigation systems. 
• Apply fertilization using injection equipment to the irrigation system
• Ensures that Farm protocols and work practices at site conform to global EHS, RC implementation standards, Hygiene and Stewardship policies and local laws and regulations.
• Perform regular maintenance of Farm equipment, irrigation system and fields
• Use farm facilities in a proper and safe way, following company regulations and guidelines.
• Supervise general activities in the field (e.g., planting, groundwork, irrigation, and fertilization, etc.)

If you have...

• High School degree or equivalent. (Preferred) 
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the areas of farm, agriculture and crop task execution
• Possess a Pesticide Applicators License or ability to get one
• Knowledge on farm equipment operation and maintenance and farm safety principles
• Knowledge on crop management and crop growing concepts (e.g. pest control - irrigation – nutrition) measures and application
• Preferred bilingual Spanish and English 
• Communicating and performing with members of different disciplines
