JOB SUMMARY
With the support and direction of the Program Director, the Dietitian is responsible for patient education on diabetes, diet and nutrition. The Dietitian will translate business knowledge into behaviors that produce high quality, cost-effective outcomes. This individual is able to apply program evaluation and accepted clinical research findings to secure clinical and program outcomes. He/she will build strong customer relationships, actively explore customer needs, and pursue creative solutions to satisfy those needs and monitor results on a continual basis.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an approved program in dietetics.
Licensure: Current unrestricted professional registration required. Current Georgia Registered Dietitian license required. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) preferred but not required
Experience: Experience with diabetes patients preferred.
Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with patients and professionals in diverse disciplines.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in physician office setting with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who may be experiencing a wide range of medical problems. Required to work flexible. Ability to work with patients and significant others in stressful, emotional situations. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
