Armacell is seeking an experienced Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join our regional team, focused on organizational skills, and Infrastructure technologies to support our IT transformation initiatives. This role will be responsible to apply your technical experience in support of Armacell’s America regional goals.
You will incorporate both existing infrastructure and new system technologies, working with senior executives and manufacturing process engineers to find the best strategies to meet requirements.
We rely upon our Junior Infrastructure Engineer to have good problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills with a drive to get things done and have some fun doing so. Position is Hybrid based in the Chapel Hill, NC regional office.

Job Responsibilities
Handling responsibilities for all installed systems and network infrastructure
Perform system administration tasks
Support & optimize infrastructure both physical and virtual
Analyse network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems
Maintain security, backup and redundancy practices and strategies
Provide second and third-tier support for Armacell production systems
Oversee the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer and network services
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Serve as the technical resource for support services and business partners
Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with global IT partners to develop effective solutions
Requirements and Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science or a related preferred
Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Infrastructure Engineer.
Preferred certifications to include CompTIA Network+, CCNA, and CISSP.
System Administration skills (Operating systems, networking, hardware, virtualization)
Interpersonal and critical thinking skills exemplified in teamwork, understanding of business, customer requirements and good communication.
Experience in the administration and performance of networks (LAN - WAN) environments (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, VLANS, Wireless etc.)
Experience with network, system diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
Working knowledge and experience with brands like CISCO and MERAKI
Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills a must
Must enjoy and efficiently work in an environment that requires the ability to multi-task, adapt to change, and produce timely deliverables at high-quality standards
