Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Working under the direction of the Charge Pharmacist and the Inventory Technician, the Pharmacy Clerk supports the day-to-day operations in the Inpatient Pharmacy. Focusing on inventory management, the pharmacy clerk assists in assessing stock on hand, restocking, and ordering pharmacy supplies as needed. The pharmacy clerk assists with additional tasks as assigned, such as organizing, filing, and ensuring the cleanliness of medication storage areas.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred.
Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology preferred.
Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well as a team, and independently on assigned projects.
Excellent Communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
