Position Summary

This senior manager plays a key role for Nestle to develop a strategy and meet the objectives to maintain our material “Master Data” accuracy, compliance, and process management. The key deliverable of this role is ensuring accurate and timely master data for the T&P (technical and production) function.  

This individual will primarily work throughout the T&P function and with supporting roles to 
•Engage with business functions and leadership to identify existing gaps or control weaknesses with master data processes and track issues, while providing subject matter expertise in support of remediation
•Actively work with business functions to build a plan to correct any gaps discovered with the health of master data
•Organize and prioritizing resources to address gaps discovered
•Create a master-data strategy to ensure healthy and accurate master data.
•Work with other master-data organizations within the business to share and leverage best-practices and to create alignment on clear ownership of the datasets.
•Assist with documenting business processes currently using master data
•Audit and validate the quality and procedures associated with current T&P master data
•Learn and understand the end-to-end data flow, including all cross functional connections and inputs with ability to articulate the flow clearly and succinctly to all levels of the organization. 

 

In addition to this work, this specialist should work to pro-actively develop new procedures to support the health and sustainment of master data.  This may include but is not limited to:
•Educating users on data standards, policies, and procedures, including industry standards (GS1)
•Work with-in the function to drive accuracy, timeliness, and provide expertise regarding definitions, cleansing tools and workflow processes.
•Build and test new automation techniques to effectively utilize resources within the function and to make repetitive tasks less labor intensive.
•Support new acquisitions, merger activities, and organization realignment activities, as needed
•Aligning work within T&P with NUSA master data team activities

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Working with functions to document business processes using master data
-Organizing resources to address gaps and building strategy to ensure healthy and accurate master data
-Auditing and validating the quality and procedures associated with current T&P master data
-Educating users on data standards, polices, and procedures associated with master data
-Support new acquisitions, merger activities, and organization realignment activities, as needed

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL

-College degree preferred, but not required.

 

EXPERIENCE:  
-5+ years of experience in any of the following disciplines/technologies is an advantage: data and analytics solutions, metadata management solutions, data governance, stewardship, data categorization taxonomy and ontology models, data classification, data integration
-5+ years of experience with SAP environment, master data, and required data dependencies is necessary.
