POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare and package items for safe shipment to customer

POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wrap items in plastic and pass through RoboPak
• Take packages from RoboPak and stack/band together
• Make master bundles- minimal wrapping, stacked, wrapped in corrugated cardboard
• Package odd pieces off-line (material that will not fit through RoboPak)
• Use chop saw to cut blocks for bundling
• Watch for material quality
• Build skids and crates
• Poly mask material
• Install new roll of film on the Robo-Pak
• Maintain 5S standards in work area
• Create PLM tags and follow process
• Band cradles
• Check material quality while packaging and handling, report issues to Lead

• Other Duties as assigned

• Flex into other areas as needed
• Apply Lean principles in own work performance and drive Lean applications in company operations

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be proficient with use of computer
• Basic math and reading skills required
• Must be certified to operate Hubtex
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Moderate exposure to smells from chemical vapors.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent exposure to noise from RoboPak and chop saws
