Joining as our Senior Accountant, you’ll be a joining a growing Finance & Accounting team, reporting to the Controller, and help to enable us to build scalable processes through the next stage of our growth.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Manage the Accounts Payable function, including processing accounts payable transactions, responding to vendor inquiries, and vendor onboarding
  • Enter and/or review all vendor bills to ensure proper general ledger and department coding and internal approvals in our accounting systems
  • Review and approve employee expense reports ensuring expenses are following T&E policy
  • Assist with the Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing Enterprise customers, responding to customer inquiries, and overseeing collections process
  • Assist in monthly self-serve revenue activities including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
  • Play an essential role in the month-end and quarter-end close processes by preparing journal entries and supporting reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other key account reconciliations
  • Analyze fluctuations in the Company's balance sheet and income statement and present explanations for fluctuations and material variances
  • Implement systems & process improvements to automate manual workflows and drive efficiencies to reduce the time to close while ensuring accuracy of financial information
  • Partner cross-functionally with all internal teams at Honeycomb in order to understand and advise on transactions and the related accounting impact
  • Significant exposure to complex areas including R&D, COGS, multi subsidiary accounting, FP&A collaboration, and other complex functions
  • Assist in company’s annual financial statement audit
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, as needed

What you'll bring to the role

  • BS in Finance or Accounting
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience - A Mix of public accounting and private accounting (start-up) experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Netsuite or similar ERP system experience required
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks at once
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Results focused while ensuring weekly and monthly deadlines are met
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Pluses, but not required
  • CPA with Big 4 experience
  • Experience with Airbase, Salesforce, and Avalara
  • ASC 606 and ASC 340 knowledge
  • Experience with multi-subsidiaries and global accounting
