Collins Aerospace, Digital Technology, is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team.  A minimum Collateral Secret is required.  Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business.  

 

** This position is onsite in Richardson, TX. ** 

 

What YOU will do: 

• You will be a subject matter expert (SME) on the team in one or more of the following technologies: 

  - Virtualization 

  - Servers 

  - Clients 

  - Networking 

  - Storage 

  - Backup 

• You will regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross functional team and/or leads cross-functional initiatives.   

• You will build strong relationships with customers and peers.   

• You will assist in developing derived technical and security requirements. Ensures use cases, user profiles, workflow, and requirements are accurate and complete.   

• You will help to develop budgets for enterprise projects in the following areas: 

  - Infrastructure  

  - Labor  

• You will help to create a solution matrix w/ cost & schedule based on the project requirements.  

• You will work to review and define technology standards.  

• You will assist in driving escalations to resolution. 

• You will participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE)   

• You will use your advected knowledge to facilitate resolution of new and existing complex solutions. 

• You will advise on the technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned. 

• You will be a key focal contact for a med/large infrastructure teams on the initiatives they are assigned. 

• Provide SME support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams. 

• Support basic Linux use cases.
