Position Overview: 

The network engineer will manage IT requirements, provide technical support, and oversee the inventory, lifecycle management, and security of IT assets with a SCIF.

 

This position is located onsite, Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure within the SCIF, ensuring all systems and networks meet security requirements for classified environments.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to identify, procure, and implement necessary IT resources and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant SCIF standards and all applicable regulations regarding secure environments.
  • Ensures all tasks are executed efficiently and within budget.
  • Identifies and documents project dependencies, resources needed, and timelines, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develops and maintains project documentation, tracking progress, milestones, and any risks or issues.
  • Implements and oversees all security measures for classified IT networks within the SCIF, in accordance with relevant Army and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure that all systems comply with DoD standards for secure networks, facilitating inspections and audits as required.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of networking experience in a SCIF environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in Linux, Windows Server, and/or Networking Appliances.
  • Experience with developing Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Ability to provide effective technical support for hardware, software, and network issues within a SCIF
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of start of employment.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • RMF experience

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance and ability to successfully pass a CI polygraph if requested by customer. 

Occasional travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Salary Range

Based on the roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is:  $120,000 - $155,000.
