PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Salary to be commensurate with experience
The hiring range for this position is $20.04 - $31.31/hourly
This is classified as VHBE (Variable Hour Benefit Eligible), where the selected candidate will work up to 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will be eligible to elect Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, accrue paid time off, and receive 11 paid holidays.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The Risk Operations Technician coordinates financial processes, insurance and claims information, claims set-up, and technical assistance for the Risk Management Division of the Finance Department.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes payment of invoices
Prepares, reviews, and processes financial and expense reports
Manages existing contracts and open purchase orders for professional services
Assists the Senior Risk Manager with overseeing and tracking budget expenditures
Functions as the division’s liaison with Information Technology and the vendor for database training, projects, and upgrades
Obtains and reviews police reports, court documents, and reports from management, city employees, outside agencies, and the general public
Assists the Multi-Line Claims Adjusters in analyzing property damage claims for potential subrogation and restitution collections
Coordinates record management for the division
Updates and maintains the department’s policy and procedures manual, including drafting new provisions as business needs change
Performs clerical duties as needed
Performs additional duties as assigned.
