Avantor is looking for a highly motivated QC Support Associate to join the team in Schiphol-Rijk. In this position you will be responsible for placing orders, manage material inventory and provide general lab support as required. As a QC Support Associate, you have a variety of responsibilities including, keep accurate shipments data in the internal system updated, filling samples, labelling samples, registering samples, calibrating lab equipment and much more! This is a full-time position based in Schiphol-Rijk. You will work from Monday to Friday with flexibility in working hours and no shifts.

The team

You are part of a dedicated team of 8 associates and able to work closely together with a smaller part. This is an encouraging, hard-working team with a phenomenal group atmosphere. This team is part of our department Lab and Product Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we’re looking for

• Education: MBO 3 or 4 lab studies or first lab experience
• Experience: Lab experience an advantage, though not required if you have a lab experience from education
• Computer: Good in MS Office; knowledge of SAP/E-Lims/other is a plus
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is an asset

• Order and maintain material inventory
• Prepare materials and deliver orders to end users
• Manage, coordinate, and complete sample receipt and shipments, such as media powders and components
• Fill samples, label samples and allocate them in smaller volumes
• Prepare, collect and register samples
• Maintain shipments records in the internal system
• Manage and complete an instrument performance verification for selected lab equipment such as balances
• Carry out routine lab support
