Job Description
This Senior Business Analyst for Film and TV Studios will play a crucial role in helping to define and implement an overarching application design and build. The work will be complex and varied, spanning multiple functional areas within the Studio Group Content Development space. The individual will strive to optimize the use of existing platforms while also considering and facilitating the deployment of new technologies to meet business needs. The role involves gathering business requirements, conducting analysis, and preparing functional documentation for Product Management and Engineering teams.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Understanding Film/TV Studio business processes by engaging with Studio partners
- Document functional requirements and workflows to solve business problems and needs
- Ensure agreement on design with process owners
- Liaison between Business end users and Product/Engineering teams
- Perform fit-gap analysis via discovery by engaging with business units and product team members
- Review and test work provided back by Product and Engineering teams to ensure quality is up to end user standards
- Preparing and maintaining job aides for end users when new Tech is rolled out
- Preparing Business Stakeholder presentations
- Assist in vendor selection, product selection, and strategy related to Order-to-Cash solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent
- 5+ years of Media/Entertainment hands on experience gathering business requirements, conducting analysis, and creating functional documentation
- 5+ years of supporting Studio Creative Development, Business Affairs and Production processes
- 5+ years creating and delivering visual presentations as part of project support
- Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT
- Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
- Familiarity and comfort in working in an outsourced module with onshore and offshore resources
- Strong / effective influencing skills
- Strong / effective problem-solving skills
- Conceptual to detailed thinking skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Product Experience: Salesforce, Tableau, CRMA, CLM Systems
- Adherence to IT project methodologies
- Experience with Project Management tools: Jira, Monday
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Teams)
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
