Our Salesforce team at Veeam is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust solutions for our stakeholders. We are currently seeking an experienced Salesforce Release Manager with expertise in CI/CD tools and SOX compliance. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the release processes for our Salesforce applications, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements and deliver maximum value to our business.
A successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing Salesforce releases, strong expertise in CI/CD tools, and experience with SOX compliance. Additionally, you should be well-versed in Agile methodologies, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams to ensure successful delivery.
Reports to: Director of Salesforce Engineering, Corporate Technology
Your Tasks Will Include:
- Define and maintain the enterprise release calendar, environment strategy, and governance model across multiple Salesforce orgs, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps.
- Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Gearset, GitHub, Copado, etc.), integrating static code analysis, automated testing, and compliance checks.
- Own SOX controls for Salesforce deployments, lead quarterly audits, and participate in continuous control improvements and segregation-of-duty models.
- Chair release readiness reviews, approve production moves, and enforce robust rollback/incident-management procedures to minimize downtime.
- While this role has no direct reports, you will serve as a hands-on mentor, coaching engineers to become self-sufficient in CI/CD practices.
- Own and continuously refine the end-to-end developer experience: automate repetitive tasks, streamline sandbox spin-ups, improve build/test feedback loops, and advocate for tooling or process changes that make delivering quality code faster and easier.
- Act as the primary point of contact for release-related activities, providing clear communication to stakeholders across the organization.
- Find ways to leverage AI/ML capabilities in CI/CD to shorten feedback loops, catch defects early, and surface release insights that improve developer productivity.
What we expect from you:
- 5+ years of release management experience.
- 3+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform and ecosystem.
- Proven success delivering frequent, zero-defect releases for enterprise Salesforce implementations (2,000+ users, multi-cloud, multi-sandbox).
- Expert-level proficiency with Salesforce CI/CD tools (Gearset preferred; Copado, AutoRabit, Flosum, or comparable) and Git-based version control (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab).
- Demonstrated experience of SOX (and preferably GDPR) controls in a release pipeline.
- Strong command of Agile / Scrum frameworks; able to synchronize sprint cadence with release cycles.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to provide clear status reporting, manage escalations, and present release insights to cross-functional leaders and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex release scenarios.
- Demonstrated experience with modern AI tooling like LLM assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), code-generation or review tools (GitHub Copilot), and AI features within Salesforce DevOps platforms.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Highly desirable Salesforce credentials:
- Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle & Deployment Designer (DLDD)
- Salesforce Platform Developer
- Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder
- Additional DevOps-oriented certifications (Gearset, Copado DevOps) are a plus
What we offer:
- Unlimited PTO
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits that star
