POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a union-represented role by the CNA. Provides nursing care, including triage, treatment and discharge care for the Emergency Department patients, from newborns to geriatrics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent: Required
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
- One year minimum acute care experience: Required
- Ability to assess and anticipate the needs of the Emergency department patient newborns to geriatrics: Required
- Ability to learn and use emergency equipment: Required
Licenses and Certifications:
- California RN License: Required
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association: Required
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association: Required
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association: Required
- Must complete TNCC Certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into position: Required
Organizational Requirements:
