About the role

This position will coordinate the activities necessary to maintain and drive incremental growth of the Motorcraft Brand through Ford Authorized Distributors (FADs).

  • The Parts Sales Manager role is to meet/exceed Market Area objectives by overseeing efforts to facilitate and influence Aftermarket FAD Sales Growth and reports to the Aftermarket National Sales Manager 
  • The Parts Sales Manager is the Aftermarket Sales & Marketing Team’s lead person responsible for Market Area Aftermarket strategy development and execution. 
  • The Parts Sales Manager provides leadership to the daily activities of the Aftermarket Zone Managers (AZMs) and Business Development Specialists (BDS) within their Market Area

This position will require 80% field travel

Must be located in Houston or Dallas, TX, we are able to provide relocation assistance if needed

What you'll do...

Build strong business relationships with Motorcraft Warehouse Distributors (FADs) and Bulk Oil Distributors (BODs):

  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring to the AZMs and BDSs in their Market Area
  • Increase level of account commitment to stocking and selling Ford, Motorcraft and parts 
  • Improve FAD, BOD Satisfaction through account management activities
  • Get involved in FAD credit and collections issues as necessary

Drive Motorcraft parts sales to the Aftermarket, by developing specific Go-To-Market strategies:

  • Direct the daily activities of Aftermarket Zone Managers
  • Leverage PSN program to create loyalty and engagement among PSN members
  • Assist Dealer facing field team with bulk oil agreements, acquisitions and retention strategies by managing relationship with BODs
  • Hold FAD/BOD accountable for delivering specific part sales and penetration objectives
  • Develop and execute event marketing plans
  • Conduct sales meetings and focus product training sessions
  • Ensure effective use of all sales allowances and promotional funds
  • Consult with accounts on infrastructure requirements
  • Drive part sales through assigned FADs to the Installers/Jobbers/Fleets within assigned market geography
  • Drive Ford Pro parts sales through coordination of effort with Fleet/Government Ford Pro team
  • Grow Ford Pro parts sales by working with FADs on capturing fleet business by leveraging multiple OE brands that they offer
  • Provide competitive intelligence regarding product competitiveness and pricing
  • Implement policies and program rules outlined in the FAD Policy & Procedure Manual

Assist with the development and execution of Market Representation Plans to grow Part Sales and Penetration: 

  • Hold WDs accountable to the Motorcraft agreements and take appropriate action
  • Assess key strengths and weaknesses of assigned accounts and ensure adequate stocking levels
  • Apply the Motorcraft Parts Improvement Process (PIP) and implement recovery plans at under-performing FADs
  • Identify key market representation actions, including terminations and appointments, where previous corrective actions have been ineffective 
  • Ensure FAD/BOD provide appropriate service levels to Ford and Lincoln dealers on FAD-exclusive parts (e.g., bulk and case goods of Motorcraft oils, fluids, chemicals; batteries; selected powertrain products)

Employee Development and Market Area/Regional Strategy Development:

  • Play key role in development of Aftermarket Business Plan/Strategy
  • Play key role in Market Area teams for special projects regarding Motorcraft/Omnicraft parts growth
  • Participate in personnel-related decisions with National Sales Manager regarding Aftermarket Zone Managers & Business Development Specialists performance and associated personnel actions

You'll have... 

  • Bachelors degree
  • Must be located in Houston or Dallas, TX, we are able to provide relocation assistance if needed
  • 3+ years of Ford Dealer Wholesale or Ford Authorized Distributor Aftermarket parts experience or similar required
  • 5+ years of field sales & marketing experience required
  • 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience
