OVERVIEW AND IMPACT:
Beloved Village is a housing organization devoted to supporting the self-determination of young people and their families impacted by the juvenile and criminal justice systems through innovations in housing. It is a continuum of care model that resources young people and their families/guardians while advocating for their needs and desires, with the goal of ending reliance on the ineffective, harmful, and expensive carceral and congregate care models.
Beloved Village is a fiscally sponsored project of the Young Women’s Freedom Center and was started based on their 30 years of success working with directly impacted women, girls, and trans people of all genders impacted by poverty, life on the streets, incarceration, and gender based violence.
Salary rage: $72,000 - $80,000

Position Overview
The Program Manager will support Beloved’s launch in Los Angeles. Reporting to the Program Director, the Beloved Program Manager will be responsible for a variety of program management and administrative tasks, including supervising front-line program staff, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring fidelity to Beloved’s Program model and organizational values. This position will work closely with YWFC and Beloved staff to ensure that program participants – many of whom have been impacted by the criminal (in)justice system and poverty – have the support, resources, access, and advocacy needed to thrive.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Implementation
- Ensure the proper fielding of program participant referrals from partners and that initial intake assessment in a timely manner
- Oversee the family finding process (placement) and provide recommendations to the courts
- Ensure participant life maps, resource plans, and support plans are completed in alignment with Beloved’s program model
- Ensure Participants are supported in navigating systems (juvenile justice, foster care, mental health, etc.) by ensuring team members are providing advocacy, resources, and ongoing support in self-advocacy strategies and education.
- Address program implementation barriers and make recommendations to enhance the program and service, delivery model
- Implement and support in the creation of staff training materials in alignment with organization’s values and program model
- Recruit placement providers aligned with Beloved’s mission and values, including credible messenger homes; establish provider’s network of support and training options
Staff Supervision and Coordination
- Build authentic and trusting relationships with Beloved staff and staff members of partner agency working on Beloved, fostering strong team cohesion and unity
- Ensure staff are maintaining Beloved’s standards of conduct, exemplifying Beloved’s values, while utilizing Beloved methodologies and frameworks.
- Provide regular supervision and mentorship to frontline program staff, ensuring program goals and objectives are met and staff feel supported
- Work closely with partner agency to ensure Beloved Youth values, standards, and program supports are being implemented and upheld
- Review staff performance and provide regular feedback and support to improve service delivery including coordinating with partner agency lead
- Provide orientation and training to new staff, interns, volunteers, and partners in the region
- Facilitate and coordinate team meetings to ensure alignment with expectations External Visibility
- Attend relevant external stakeholder meetings and events to understand Los Angeles political landscape
- Build and maintain relationships with system partners, including partner CBOs, Probation, and political partners
- Present Beloved’s program model to partners to increase visibility, funding, and partnership opportunities
- Attend important funder meeting and provide progress reports, as requested
Program Administration
- Track program expenses and ensure Program is within budget
- Ensure client files are up to date and stored appropriately
- Schedule and organize team meetings and events, while maintaining organizational calendar and agenda
- Work closely with the State-wide Manager to create staff trainings and policies, including onboarding and offboarding plans, technology protocols, and data expectations
