What You Will Achieve
This role requires financial expertise to manage budgets for 10-20 clinical programs in Pfizer Oncology Division, primarily focused on early stage development. You will provide financial, operational and strategic leadership support in a complex and very dynamic environment to optimize budget allocation and maximize the value of the portfolio. You will be a key business partner and advisor for Global Program Teams (GPTs) to enable portfolio decisions that impact the lives of patients.

How You Will Achieve It
- Advise team and actively engage in investment and operational decisions through understanding of development strategies and cost drivers
- Develop accurate and timely financial forecasts, provide detailed analysis, and proactively identify and communicate issues
- Collaborate with business partners to manage budget within authorized target, support decision making and drive efficiency savings.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of the financial statements and compliance with Pfizer policies and procedures, maintain strong internal control environment
- Work cross-functionally across finance, clinical teams, drug supply, and portfolio management
Required Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of finance experience in budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis for a global organization; 3 years with advanced degree
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to business leaders and successful experience operating in highly matrixed organizations
- Knowledge of accounting and prior experience in monthly financial close activities.
- Knowledge of SAP and fluency in Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- R&D finance experience supporting clinical trials
- Pharmaceutical finance experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguity and a dynamic fast paced environment and adapt accordingly
- MBA and/or CPA
