What You Will Achieve

This role requires financial expertise to manage budgets for 10-20 clinical programs in Pfizer Oncology Division, primarily focused on early stage development. You will provide financial, operational and strategic leadership support in a complex and very dynamic environment to optimize budget allocation and maximize the value of the portfolio. You will be a key business partner and advisor for Global Program Teams (GPTs) to enable portfolio decisions that impact the lives of patients.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Advise team and actively engage in investment and operational decisions through understanding of development strategies and cost drivers
  • Develop accurate and timely financial forecasts, provide detailed analysis, and proactively identify and communicate issues
  • Collaborate with business partners to manage budget within authorized target, support decision making and drive efficiency savings.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of the financial statements and compliance with Pfizer policies and procedures, maintain strong internal control environment
  • Work cross-functionally across finance, clinical teams, drug supply, and portfolio management

Required Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years of finance experience in budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis for a global organization; 3 years with advanced degree
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to business leaders and successful experience operating in highly matrixed organizations
  • Knowledge of accounting and prior experience in monthly financial close activities. 
  • Knowledge of SAP and fluency in Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • R&D finance experience supporting clinical trials
  • Pharmaceutical finance experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguity and a dynamic fast paced environment and adapt accordingly
  • MBA and/or CPA

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $84,200.00 to $140,400.00.
