About the role

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

New Shepard: This role is a part of New Shepard, a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space.

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for continuous improvement initiatives, sustaining engineering, and design implementation of the New Shepard ground fluid systems. The ground fluid systems consist of propellant (LH2 & LOX) and pneumatic (GN2 & GHe) storage and transfer systems. These systems support launch day operations at the launch and landing pad as well as vehicle maintenance operations. As a team, we will pursue continuous improvement initiatives and generate the design solutions required to scale the reliability and operation of the ground fluid systems for increased launch cadence. You will find yourself within a workplace culture that emphasizes accountability, discipline, and attention to detail at all levels. You must have a passion for solving complex problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and on your own initiative; and be adaptable as you will work on a variety of applications and systems. We are looking for an individual that can help teams resolve and implement innovative solutions that will support maintenance, operations, and development.

We are looking for a hands-on, highly collaborative, and energetic individual that always welcomes a challenge. Are you are motivated to get the job done while maintaining the high standards required for safe human spaceflight? Do you have appreciation for collaborators, users, and process owners? Do you show grit in the face of large challenges, and can you prioritize work to also get the little stuff done? If this sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you…
