In this position... 

The Team Leader (Premium Logistics Analyst) is responsible for coordinating the proper resources in an effort to work through supplier shortage issues that have the potential to impact VO or PTO within a three-week horizon.

What you'll do...

  • To facilitate resources and data in support of critical supply issues for the Vehicle Operations and Powertrain plants assigned to them.
  • Review premium associated with the plants assigned to determine if any action can be taken with the plant to prevent re-occurrence. 
  • Support the Premium Logistics Hotline Team with coding analysis, choosing freight mode, and collaborating with all key parties (supplier, plant, and carrier) to ensure production is protected with the most cost-effective solution.
  • Team Leaders adds and updates part/supplier critical issues daily to the ‘Supply Chain Executive Report’ to determine coverage over the next few weeks.
  • The Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the proper resources in an effort to work through shortage issues that have the potential to impact VO or PTO within a three-week horizon. 
  • The scope of cross functional involvement is dependent on the root cause and risk of the shortage. Groups that are potentially involved in critical supply issues include: 
    • Supplier Contacts – Purchasing, MP&L, Operations, Management, Quality, Account Manager 
    • Plant Operations 
    • Purchasing 
    • Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) 
    • SOT/CST 
    • Constraints Management
    • Packaging/Container Management 
    • Engineering 
    • VO/PTO Scheduling 
    • FCSD 
    • Product Development 
    • Supplier’s Tier II’s & III’s
    • Premium Carriers 
      • RXO 
      • Ascent on Demand (AOD) 
      • McMahon Helicopter 
      • Import/Export companies.

You'll have... 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Functional expertise in MP&L and MRP software & new systems development 
  • Proven experience of managing and delivering in complex/fast-paced environment 
  • Be able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources – both from within the MP&L organization and other key Ford activities (including Product Development, Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales and Marketing) 
  • Strong business acumen, coupled with drive for results Strong data analytical skills.
  • Extraordinary teamwork and collaborative skills and demonstrated behaviors. 
  • Understand and operate in a global environment. 
  • Ability to interface effectively with Management/Leadership Possible needs to travel domestically (as required) 
  • Requires schedule flexibility for morning/evening conferences. 
  • Premium Analyst needs to have Team player abilities and to generate that environment during the meetings.
