About the Role

We are seeking a Database Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain scalable database solutions for our applications. You will work closely with back-end and front-end developers to ensure seamless data integration, high performance, and system reliability. This role requires strong expertise in modern database platforms, Python, and an understanding of front-end frameworks to support full-stack development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases for scalability and efficiency.

• Implement and maintain database solutions using modern platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other cloud-based database technologies.

• Write efficient queries, stored procedures, and database functions to support application needs.

• Develop and maintain back-end data processing logic using Python.

• Collaborate with front-end developers working with React, Vue.js, or Angular to ensure smooth data flow and integration.

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security best practices.

• Ensure database solutions follow industry standards for availability, reliability, and scalability.

• Work with DevOps teams to deploy and maintain databases in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 7+ years of experience in database engineering, development, or administration.

• Proficiency in modern database platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar).

• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience handling data processing and automation.

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular) and their interaction with databases.

• Understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

• Experience with cloud-based databases and database-as-a-service solutions (AWS RDS, Firebase, etc.).

• Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehousing.

• Proficiency in SQL database architectures.

• Exposure to CI/CD workflows for database deployment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal English skills—ability to communicate effectively in a remote team environment.
