Centre College invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach (Offensive Coordinator).

Located in Danville, KY, the historic, picturesque 150-acre campus is 30 miles from Lexington, in the famed Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky.
Under supervision of the Head Football Coach, provide assistance in the coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties for a Division III football program. Individual reports to the Head Football Coach. Position duties, as well as secondary duty within the department, to be determined.
- Assist in organizing, preparing and conducting practices, training, and competition;
- Successfully recruit student-athletes in accordance with all Centre College, Southern Athletic Association, and NCAA rules and regulations;
- Oversee the offensive staff to effectively implement and execute a game plan;
- Assist in directing all aspects of the team;
- Assist with the holistic development of football student-athletes;
- Represent the program and the College to students, parents, alumni, and the general public;
- Assist in managing the daily operations and administration facets of the football program;
- Actively participate in department-wide fundraising initiatives;
- Assist in all duties as assigned by the Head Coach or the Director of Athletics;
- Secondary job duty to be assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with previous collegiate experience required; previous collegiate coaching experience preferred.
- CPR, AED, and First-Aid certifications will be required upon employmen
- Valid driver’s license required prior to employment – and maintained throughout.
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the sport of football and its rules; ability to foster a team environment; demonstrated coaching skills in sport of football;
- Knowledge of travel, planning, and scheduling;
- a commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy of athletics;
- a commitment, and ability, to work effectively with diverse populations;
- high integrity and ethical standards are required, along with enthusiasm for the mission of Centre College and Centre Athletics;
- Knowledge of NCAA and SAA rules and regulations, and a demonstrated ability to successfully recruit, retain, and mentor student-athletes are essential;
- Additional qualifications include communication skills that allow for the ability to teach, motivate, and counsel student-athletes effectively as well as being self-motivated, positive, energetic, eager to teach, and a willingness to travel.
- Ability to foster a team environment as well as the ability and desire to work successfully within a team-oriented athletic department is essential.
