Job Description

• Operational responsibility for component and sub-module deliveries.
• Drive the work from an operational perspective.
• Capacity to work individually or with a small team actively to secure the deliverables.
• Lead mechanical design engineering activities in a particular area.
• Play an active role in the group's deliveries.
• Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release.
• Must spread knowledge and develop competence within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• The position will support the development and maintenance of proprietary and vendor chassis (rear) suspension systems.
• MUST have experience with CAST and SHEETMETAL parts (e.g., design requirements, forming/ foundry, tooling & machining practices, material types/ grades, etc.).
• MUST be familiar with structural and fatigue analysis.
• MUST be familiar with PTC Creo tools.
• have knowledge of vehicle dynamics.
• familiarity with CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) tools for FEA (structural) and/or multi-body vehicle dynamic simulation.
