General Accounting Associate

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION :
Maintaining Financial Records:
- Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping
- Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, as well as preparing reports
- Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations
- Monitor and ensure that all cash clearing accounts have zero balance at month end by working with relevant AR, AP and GL departments
Financial Analysis:
- Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations
- Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct
- Generating financial reports and preparing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings for assigned entities in EMEA
- Working with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
- Actively identify and pursue process improvements in own scope of work
- Proactively follow up on intercompany mismatches with other departments
- Ensuring financial records comply with accounting principles and company procedures.
Audit Support:
- Assisting internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
You have:
- Academic background in: University Degree specializing in Finance/Accounting
- Previous experience in or with: 2+ years in accounting across General Ledger processes
- M3 / SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Good accounting knowledge;
- Basic understanding of AR, AP, GL and bank processes
- MS Office (advanced excel skills);
