General Accounting Associate

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION ​:

• Maintaining Financial Records:

• Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping
• Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, as well as preparing reports
• Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
• Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations
• Monitor and ensure that all cash clearing accounts have zero balance at month end by working with relevant AR, AP and GL departments

• Financial Analysis:

• Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations
• Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct
• Generating financial reports and preparing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings for assigned entities in EMEA
• Working with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
• Actively identify and pursue process improvements in own scope of work
• Proactively follow up on intercompany mismatches with other departments
• Ensuring financial records comply with accounting principles and company procedures.

• Audit Support:

• Assisting internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.

You have:

• Academic background in: University Degree specializing in Finance/Accounting
• Previous experience in or with: 2+ years in accounting across General Ledger processes
• M3 / SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Good accounting knowledge;
• Basic understanding of AR, AP, GL and bank processes
• MS Office (advanced excel skills);
