Raytheon is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the software engineering team, with the development and integration of products through a single, comprehensive platform. We are looking for Infrastructure engineers with experience in traditional infrastructure design; as well as strong scripting automation, and hardening skills, in order to develop our modern infrastructure systems. The Infrastructure Engineer would be engaged in the design and architecture of the system and will interface with team members in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to help develop the environment from requirements.

NOTE: This position will be onsite in the RTX Facility in Richardson, TX.

What You Will Do

• Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise VMware computing environments.

• Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.

What You Will Learn

• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions.

• Integrate security and compliance into the infrastructure with services such as encryption and access management.

• Provide operational support for the infrastructure.

Qualifications You Must Have

• "Active and transferable" TS/SCI U.S government issues security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

• Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience.

• Experience designing, implementing, and automating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Ansible or Chef.

• Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).

• Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Administrative fluency with the following (or vendor equivalent):  Linux and VMWare solutions.

• Experience with System Hardening, and cyber security practices.

• Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.

• Experience with System integration and related practices.

• Exposure to Cloud based web services such as AWS.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.

• Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore).

• Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization.

• Experience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework.

• Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration.

• Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days.
