Manager, Corporate Planning

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:  This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a production plan for 19 North American manufacturing locations including the recommendation of capital spending where applicable to ensure an exceptional service level for customers is achieved.  This position will also optimize resource capability and availability while driving lower costs and increasing overall efficiency.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Closely align with local plant Schedulers and Regional Controllers to develop a rolling 12 month production plan for the business

Assist plants with broad level labor planning activities to optimize the production and labor plans

High level collaboration with Demand Manager to validate the sales forecast

Work with Commercial Team to develop inventory plans to support seasonality, level out production requirements and relieve bottlenecks

Key contributor in establishing appropriate inventory levels for sales programs

Create financial and production what if scenarios to determine risk level sensitivity

Monitor and advocate adherence to inventory metrics

EDUCATION:    

Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred:

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 5+ years of Manufacturing experience

3+ years of Production Planning experience

Preferred:

Strong background with enterprise business software applications, preferably Oracle.

SKILLS:

Required:

Must have advanced skills using MS Excel (Pivot Tables, V-lookups, and Macros)

Strong capacity and production planning analytic skill set

Ability to manage a complex production environment consisting of multiple production lines and sku’s

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Excellent organization and analytical capabilities.
