Role Purpose Statement 

This position will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing record-to-report processes on a global scale. It requires a deep understanding of records to report processes, project management and SAP to drive efficiency, accuracy and compliance within financial operations.

 

Main Accountabilities

•    Driving process transformation, with responsibility for process design, policies (in collaboration with functions), technology (in collaboration with IT), controls (in collaboration with Internal Audit and Sox Controller), service delivery model, change management, communication and performance benchmark and metrics with focus on enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, compliance, outcomes and optimizing cost of services.
•    Collaborate with Finance Functional/ COE Leaders, Finance Services Leads, Service Delivery Leaders to ensure consistency of implementation of One Bunge Global Process model
•    Recommend changes that will bring improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, control and outcomes and move towards Top Quartile Performance that reduces cost via Elimination, Standardization, Optimization, Automation, Robotics
•    Provide clear definition of any change in the processes to IT/ Application Team for system enablement, enhancement or implementation
•    Lead and execute projects related to record-to-report process improvements, working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
•    Assess continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, control and outcomes as well as new demands from the functional leadership
•    Participate in Process Governance Meetings - governance and approval authority in order to ensure consistency in adherence to global processes
•    Utilize knowledge of SAP to maintain, enhance and streamline financial reporting systems and processes
 
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Successful process design, migration and stabilization of RTR services, implementation of tools and technology in RTR, and also change management and communication

Management/Leadership 

This is an Individual contributor role and Management/Leadership skills are not mandated for this role. However, this role will be involved in leading and managing projects and hence excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected. 

 

Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces 

Internal: Service delivery Leads, Finance Technology Lead, IT and SAP teams, Continuous Improvement Lead, Finance Functional Leaders, Controllers
External: Consulting and Technology vendors

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    In-depth domain knowledge of record-to-report processes such as month end close, consolidation, intercompany, fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations
•    Experience in driving transformation projects to successful completion, and ability to work in a global environment
•    Change management experience, with multi-functional team management/collaboration experience
•    Strong communications and presentation skills, the ability to make the complex, detailed information clear and actionable
•    Problem-solving and conflict resolution capability
•    Strong business acumen and curiosity
•    An understanding of shared services operating models; experience in a shared services organization
•    Working knowledge of leading practices in shared services (e.g., CRM, SLAs, KPIs, metrics, and reporting)
•    An understanding of enabling technologies required to support a shared service organization
•    Good working knowledge of SAP (FICO)
•    Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements

 

Education and Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting; master’s degree or relevant professional certification (CA, CMA) is a plus
•    Minimum 2-3 years of experience in project management and driving process improvement initiatives
