Provide customers, distributors and sales representatives with Lonza product technical information, troubleshoot product performance issues and record/escalate potential product quality events. Lead mid- to large-scope projects and direct project activities of Scientific Support Specialist I and II employees as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Mentor and direct the activities of Scientific Support Specialists I and II on projects as required
- Lead Mid to Large scope projects with multiple stakeholders and higher visibility to multiple stakeholders across business units
- Initiate and lead discussions with Quality Assurance, Product Managers, Sales Managers, Quality Control, R&D, Production, etc. to help of product quality issues.
- Work to improve and streamline SST procedures as directed by Group Leader/Manager
- Provide technical product information to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills.
- Maintain a log of incoming calls, emails and complaints.
- Record customer complaints in Lonza’s quality tracking systems.
- Provide troubleshooting and application assistance to customers.
- Develop and review technical literature/documents.
- Develop and lead product training for customers, sales force and distributors.
- Lead larger scope projects.
- .Perform other duties as assigned.
- Take proactive approach to develop career path using learning and development tools with focus on specific goals as required.
Required Education Level: BS degree
Preferred Education Level: MS degree
Minimum Years Required Experience: 2-5

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the location of the successful candidate, qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge.
