As a recognized leader in providing Private Markets Investment and Technology Solutions to clients across the globe, we manage approximately $131.5 billion in discretionary assets and have oversight of an additional $816 billion in non-discretionary assets as of September 30, 2024.

The Opportunity:

Hamilton Lane, a global investment leader in the private markets sector, is looking to hire an intern for our Real Estate team.

The Real Estate team is responsible for assessing investment opportunities in real estate. These opportunities include primary and secondary fund investments, as well as direct investments.

In this role you will receive exposure to real estate asset managers, called General Partners, by analyzing their private placement materials, participating in in-house meetings and site visits to their offices. You will develop the skills needed to assess fund investments, direct investments, and secondary investment opportunities.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Perform the initial review and formulate the initial recommendation of real estate fund opportunities on a global basis
• Meet fund managers and perform in-depth due diligence to arrive at a final recommendation on the fund opportunity
• Evaluate and summarize properties, sectors and financials on co-investment opportunities
• Screen secondary investment opportunities, contribute to secondary due diligence and underwriting, and monitor secondary investments.
• Monitor fund, direct investment and secondary investments and generate written reports on Hamilton Lane’s current fund investments through update meetings, quarterly calls and annual meetings. 

Your background will include:

• High academic achievement
• Leadership: in clubs, sports, community service, etc.
• Language: English Fluency.
• The ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Examples of being a self-starter with a drive to excel.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to grasp new concepts.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and an interest in financial modeling.
• Effective time management and organization skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
