The Integrated Marketing Director for Undergraduate Student Recruitment leads integrated marketing efforts to drive prospective student engagement, application growth, and enrollment for the University of New Hampshire. This role is responsible for developing and executing a strategic, data-informed marketing plan in collaboration with campus partners, with a particular emphasis on CRM-driven communications, audience segmentation, and recruitment- focused messaging.

In partnership with the Executive Director of Student Recruitment, the Director of Communications in Admissions, and other key stakeholders across the university, this position plays a vital role in how UNH shows up to prospective students—leading the development of targeted content, optimizing email communication flows, and ensuring alignment between recruitment messaging and the university’s brand.

Duties/Responsibilities

 Strategic Marketing Planning & Execution (40%)

  • Assist with developing and leading the execution of an integrated marketing plan that supports undergraduate recruitment goals and aligns with institutional priorities and brand guidelines.

  • Collaborate with admissions leadership and academic colleges to build strategies that resonate with prospective students and their influencers.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and prospective student behavior to inform campaign development and content creation.

  • Co-manage a recruitment-focused marketing budget and prioritize tactics that drive the most value and impact.

  • Ensure all materials reflect a cohesive, compelling representation of UNH and support our positioning as a high-impact, innovative research university.

CRM & Communications Management (30%)

  • Assist with leading the strategy, creation, and execution of prospective student email campaigns and communication flows within the Slate CRM platform.

  • Build digital assets—including emails, landing pages, and forms—and apply appropriate tracking and

  • segmentation.

  • Analyze campaign performance data to improve engagement and optimize conversion throughout the funnel.

  • Collaborate with operations and data teams to ensure messaging workflows are clean, efficient, and tailored to key audience segments.

Campus Liaison & Partnership Support (20%)

  • Serve as a primary marketing liaison to academic colleges and other key campus partners, ensuring recruitment marketing strategies are aligned across units.

  • Advise partners on digital best practices, communication strategies, and lead nurturing tactics to support program-specific enrollment efforts.

  • Coordinate marketing support for key recruitment events, campus visit experiences, and digital engagement efforts.

  • Work closely with content creators, designers, and college-based communicators to ensure all tactics and materials support our enrollment goals.

Collaboration & Leadership (10%)

  • Participate in regular cross-functional team meetings to maintain alignment across marketing, admissions, and enrollment management.

  • Communicate progress on marketing initiatives to leadership and provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the prospective student experience and improve communication effectiveness throughout the admissions cycle.

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field required, master’s degree

  • preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in higher education, enrollment, or a complex organization.

  • Experience developing and executing CRM-based campaigns (Slate experience highly preferred).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt content to various audiences.

  • Deep understanding of audience segmentation, campaign performance tracking, and digital engagement.

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage several projects simultaneously.

  • Strategic mindset with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and a passion for results.
