Position Overview

Shaw Industries is seeking a Senior Freight Manager

The Senior Freight Manager - Residential will be responsible for working with the Residential Business Unit and ISC leadership to develop strategies to optimize sales revenue and/or the current freight revenue.  This role will lead efforts to develop and maintain all freight and routing parameters in the Transportation Management System (TMS).

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate directly with Residential sales leadership (SVP, DVP, RVP) and category management on freight programs to strategically grow their businesses.

Analyze large data sets and present recommendations to logistics and sales leadership.

Directly manage the Corporate Freight Analyst.

Build strategic relationships with supply chain teams,  pricing and inventory       management to innovate strategies for improving freight or sales revenue. Supervise changes to the Manhattan Transportation Management System (TMS) including company-wide freight increases.

Manage reporting of sales/margin dollars and freight revenue impact on all Residential BU freight promotions, Test & Learn, and permanent freight adjustments to senior sales, pricing, and ISC leadership.

Support Business Solutions, IS, Pricing and other internal customers with coordinating TMS testing.

Qualifications

Four-year degree + 1 year of management experience.

Experience with data warehouse, SQL queries and Excel pivots.

Ability to make decisions and think strategically.

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of transportation and logistics, data analysis, and TMS applications (preferred).
