What You Will Do:

The primary duties of the Functional Specialist/Advisor will be to support IT audit management activities as they relate to recurring audits/inspections (e.g. Federal Information System Modernization Act (FISMA), Financial Statement Audit (FSA), and ad-hoc OIG inspections.

Duties shall include:

  • Support the IT Audit function by providing management and oversight of vulnerability remediation efforts managed within the A/CIO’s office and the Audit Committee.

  • Support the IT Audit Management activities by ensuring timely and efficient receipt, coordination, tracking, remediation and responses to the Office of the Inspector General (IG) audit and inspection findings. Information system vulnerabilities are tracked and responses are coordinated with internal organization and external organizations as appropriate.

  • Support the IT Audit activity by supporting the recurring CIO-T, IG updates for the Associate CIO’s office (TM) and other senior-level governance engagements.

  • Provide support to Audit Committee to ensure findings are mapped to future and in-progress projects that are managed by the governance board.

  • Provide coordination and collaboration support to route IG finding responses and status updates to CIO-T leadership for signature and approval and to schedule meetings with stakeholders to track the status of IG findings.

  • Provide analysis, reports, and metrics to CIO-T leadership concerning the status of findings.


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • THREE (3) or more years of relevant experience in IT audit

  • Working knowledge of FISMA and FSA requirements.

  • Experience in coordinating activities associated with IT audits and mitigating identified vulnerabilities.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph

  • Bachelor’s Degree within a related field (Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or Engineering)

  • Experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional business area (i.e. Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or Engineering).

  • Experience may be broad-based crossing multiple markets (i.e., Government or industry)

  • Knowledge of IT audit and assessment tools, methodologies and best practices

  • CISSP or CISA certification

  • Knowledge of IC, Department of Defense, and NGA offices and programs
