Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) is looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer to support our F135 HPC Base Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT)
What You Will Do
- The engineer in this position will provide support for Cases, Variable Vanes & Kinematics, and Rotors IPTs made up of Project, Design, Structural, Aero, and Systems engineers.
- The IPT’s are tasked with sustaining fielded engines through product deficiency investigations and product enhancements.
- The IPT’s also resolve manufacturing and overhaul issues in support of spares part deliveries and fleet sustainment.
- The Project Engineer will work with the IPTs to plan, acquire, and manage appropriate budgets for specific IPT tasks.
- The engineer will support the IPT with communication to internal and external customers as well as support processing of Class 1 & 2 engineering changes
- Prepare and present task status and technical content to the IPT and CIPT
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience OR
- An Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to organize and execute several components of tasks.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet and SAP a plus.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)
Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.
Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
