As the Sr. Program Manager – Medical Education, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful integration and utilization of products, technologies, and procedures within the Sports Medicine (SPM) Medical Education function. This role encompasses a unique blend of strategic thinking, program development expertise, stakeholder engagement skills and a dedication to successful existing and new product/technology adoption through innovation and quality program management practices. You will be recognized as a subject matter expert within the cross functional team.

What will you be doing?

  • Research and identify healthcare professionals who are experts in their respective fields and have the potential to contribute to educational programs.

  • Maintain regular communication with existing faculty members to nurture relationships, provide updates on upcoming opportunities and gather feedback.

  • Develop and ensure that faculty members have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality contributions to educational and consulting initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the field to ensure adherence to the educational pathway, including the consistent use of S+N Academy Online.

  • In collaboration with local medical education delivery teams, develop and implement pre and post event processes.

  • Advise on KOL selection, faculty development strategy and ongoing management of faculty updates.

  • Collaborate with product development teams to understand the clinical benefits and advantages of existing and new product/technology.

  • Work closely with marketing and communication teams to develop targeted educational assets that highlight the product/technology.

  • Liaise with current faculty, customers, and functional partners to gather insights and feedback for refining medical education product awareness and adoption strategies.

  • Use data analytics tools to track product adoption metrics and user engagement.

  • Generate regular reports on educational programs, and adoption progress, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

  • Make data-driven recommendations to optimize the educational program and adoption strategies to improve user experience.

  • Act as a bridge between S+N teams and healthcare providers, facilitate the continuous improvement of medical education programs based on user feedback.

  • Gather insights from users' experiences and integrate them into future iterations of medical education awareness programs and adoption strategies.

  • Formulate and execute long-term strategic plans for medical education programs, aligning them with organizational goals and industry trends.

  • Develops clear objectives, actionable strategies, and measurable outcomes.

  • Effectively collaborates with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to medical experts, content creators, marketing partners, clinical operations/publications, and technology specialists, to ensure the successful development and execution of medical education initiatives.

  • Maintain strong relationship with stakeholders and address any conflicts or issues that arise.

  • Embraces Smith & Nephew Business ethics, adheres to stated corporate compliance policies, always represents Smith & Nephew appropriately, and holds direct reports to the same standards.

  • Exhibits professionalism with Senior Leadership, marketing peers, direct reports, and all other internal and external customers.

  • Communicates effectively and professionally regarding portfolio performance and recommendations of business strategies with Senior Leadership Team, cross functionally and cross franchise

What will you need to be successful?

  • Travel: +/- 40% travel

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an education, health related or business-related discipline

  • Minimum 8-12 years' experience in medical education or health related field in the medical device industry or field

  • Experience in developing strategic programs

  • Proven track-record of cross functional alignment and successful project execution experience collaborating with and delivering amongst a highly matrix environment

  • Use of adult learning principles, facilitation skills, Program Management skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers
