Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

GDMS has an immediate opening for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Manufacturing Quality team responsible for overseeing the production and test of high-assurance, mission-critical electronics hardware.
The selected candidate will be a key quality assurance representative at the Manufacturing Center and will be responsible for all aspects of quality assurance while working with Integrated Product Teams to collaborate and manage the ongoing production build and test activities for a diverse range of complex circuit card assemblies and mission computers. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
The Senior Quality Engineer will be hands-on, working to oversee and maintain aspects of Integration and Test (I&T) and Manufacturing Quality for the programs that they support. This includes participating in the interpretation, flow down, and enforcement of customers’ contractual quality requirements; Materials Review Boards (MRB); Test Review Boards (TRB); Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Preventive Action Corrective Action (PACA) activities; and continuous improvement initiatives. Additional quality activities include the overseeing First Article Inspections (FAI), conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
The Senior Quality Engineer will regularly and constructively interface with team members from Program Management, Process and Manufacturing Engineering, Scheduling, Materials, Supply Chain, and other disciplines. They will be comfortable functioning in a matrix organization with programmatic and departmental/functional lines of reporting and responsibility. The position may also conduct training on quality assurance concepts, tools, and techniques, and it will involve generating and presenting quality assurance data in support of the program quality representatives.

- Lead a multifunctional team to mitigate identified risks or capitalize on potential opportunities while providing accurate and timely reports to program management and the customer.
