Department Overview
The Vegetation Management Execution Department leads staff and outside contractors to ensure public safety, electric reliability, and regulatory compliance with state and federal vegetation management rules. The incumbents also serve as subject matter experts, provide guidance and influence, and act as external leaders in the industry on regulatory issues and market strategies. The leaders work with customers and public entities to monitor and manage vegetation proximity to PG&E assets to ensure system reliability and safety objectives. The leaders promote and adhere to all company and regulatory safety guidelines and requirements.
Position Summary
The Principal Program Manager leads initiatives across the Vegetation Management execution organization. This individual will provide oversight and guidance across various initiatives across the organization. The Principal will enhance Contractor relationships to drive collaboration and improve processes leveraging metrics and reporting. In addition, this position will supervise internal and Contracted staff to meet operational goals, coordinate with teams to complete projects, collaborate on more significant organizational priorities, and conduct project tracking/monitoring to ensure success.
- Manage relationships with and provide direction to vendor(s).
- Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
- Developing, measuring, and reporting on the success of the program.
- Partnering with the marketing organization, vendors, and external partners to develop and implement strategies to promptly reach the appropriate customer audience.
- Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners.
- Partner with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meetings with regulators.
- Identify stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company, in good faith, believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, particular skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
- Bay Area Minimum: $140,000
- Bay Area Maximum: $238,000
&/OR
- California Minimum: $133,000
- California Maximum: $226,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs (~two days per week in the office). The headquarters is the Oakland General Office.
