Arthrex is actively seeking a Cost Analyst II, to strengthen the Finance Operations Team in Naples by collaborating with US and international contacts delivering timely and accurate product cost in SAP, inventory evaluation and financial reports for decision making and process optimization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Utilize SAP and other relevant IT systems such as MS-Power BI or Excel
  • Plan, analyze and report accurate product cost and inventory evaluations
  • Determine trends, plan/actual comparisons, variances, and sensitivity analyses
  • Provide and present commentaries for management guidance
     
  • Establish relationships with cross functional and finance teams in the US and internationally to participate successfully in projects, and meetings
  • Work with others for cost rolls in SAP to calculate standard cost with multi-level BOM’s for various company codes
  • Support transfer price determinations, process reviews and other asset evaluations
     
  • Observe accurate inventory evaluation, cycle counts, scrap processes and support obsolescence reserve calculations
  • Support responses and deliver information for internal and external audits
    Maintain and collaborate with other stakeholders about accurate master data for routings, bill of materials and, where applicable, cost centers
  • Be sparring partner for Make-or-buy decisions, pricing, and other evaluation topics
  • Support training other areas of the organization in cost related SAP topics
     
  • Learn and be flexible for new processes and procedures in a growing environment
  • Provide continuous improvement ideas

 

Specialized Skills:

 

  •  Advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  •   Problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  •  Basic Cost Accounting skills
  •   Strong collabo-ration skills
  •   Intermediate presentation skills
  •   Demonstrated knowledge in key areas of responsibility and SAP Costing Tools
  •   Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff

 

Discretion / Latitude:

 

Works under general supervision independently and with a Team.  Work is reviewed for soundness of judgement and overall adequacy and accuracy.

 

Education & Experience:

  •   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with cost related focus or related Business field
  •   2+ years of relevant work experience required
  •  Medical Device Manufacturing Preferred

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: 

Virtual machines and laptops. Microsoft environment. Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.  

 

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

 

Mathematical Skills: 

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.   

 

Language and Communication Skills: 

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
