The Computer Lab Assistant,
Community Corrections assists in the transition of adult residents to their
community by providing basic technical assistance to allow for better access to
community programs, job searches and applications. Provides a working knowledge of basic PC computer skills such as using a mouse, keyboard,
computer and printer. Monitors and
develops additional basic computer software and program knowledge to
include internet programs such as Internet Explorer, email communication
options and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software programs such as Microsoft Office, internet applications, email systems, and other basic computer functions is required.
- Must have ability to explain basic technical issues clearly and work with a varied range of skills. Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in managing difficult residents.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and apply problem solving techniques.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
