Facilitator, Language and Literacy (CORE) (Part-Time)
UnboundEdAbout the role
ABOUT UNBOUNDED
UnboundEd recently joined with two other professional learning organizations, Pivot Learning and CORE Learning. Together as one entity, we are now the largest equity-focused professional learning organization in the nation. We provide evidence-based, comprehensive instructional and curriculum support to educators and school system leaders in over 40 states across the country.
UnboundEd empowers educators to transform teaching and learning. We work with classroom teachers, school leaders, and district executives to ensure engaging, affirming and meaningful grade-level instruction, so that we eliminate the predictability of student outcomes by race and socioeconomic status. We focus on the needs of students of color and those who have historically been at the margins, because when we do that, all students benefit.
ROLE SUMMARY
CORE Language and Literacy Facilitators to help ensure all students receive equitable reading instruction by training and mentoring teachers in evidence-based instructional practices that will increase student reading achievement. Our team is committed to supporting educators’ understanding and practice, pairing support with high expectations, and allowing all students the opportunity to access high-quality instruction.
Language and Literacy Facilitators provide professional development services in language development and reading for our online learning platform, delivering a range of services supporting educators through the course. CORE’s services involve providing consultation on evidence-based ELA instruction and second language acquisition, including but not limited to providing virtual demonstration lessons and feedback and supporting school or district administrators and coaches. This role is part-time and completely remote.
We are looking for new K-12 CORE Language and Literacy Facilitators to support educators in our online professional learning course. Potential consultants must be available a minimum of 20 hours per month and up to 40 hours per month. Once added to CORE’s facilitator pool, you will be assigned to facilitate as opportunities are finalized with our clients. Note that this work will not involve a consistent schedule; typical client engagements involve multiple online sessions for remote delivery.
