Job Description
In our Global Engineering center more than 30 000 engineers are making homes, cities, appliances and tools smarter, greener and ultimately better for use. From hardware to software, we have all kinds of opportunities waiting for you.
Tasks in the role of Embedded Software Engineer :
- As a part of our Team to take responsibility for the development of connectivity functions of our home appliances
- To consult and support OEM partners during firmware development
- To validate OEMs firmware releases in regards of connectivity
- To be responsible for the continuous further development of our development methodology and our software platform
- To plan and define the scope and content of SDK (Software development kit) for OEMs
- To specify and accept the work packages for external development teams
- To take over the contact with internal and external stakeholders in the context of development
- To achieve and control software quality by carrying out code reviews and error analyzes together with internal and external development teams
Qualifications
Experience and know-how:
- Completed degree in computer science or comparable education - master's degree or higher
- At least 2 years of professional experience and in-depth knowledge of "Embedded Linux"
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as HTTPS, MQTT, XMPP, TCP/IP, IT security
- Experience in connectivity solutions including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) based security
- Successfully implemented projects in C++, C and a script languages
- Continuous integration (CI/CD) and SW tests automation
- Familiar with agile working methods
- Experience in cooperation with international and external service providers.
- Strong communication skills in English
