About the role

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

The Partnerships & Strategy Lead (6-Month Secondment) provides a temporary development opportunity for colleagues to gain hands‑on experience executing Pfizer PAVE (Portfolio Alternative Value Enablement) external collaboration strategy.

During the secondment, the colleague will work closely with the Partnerships Lead to support brand‑level partnership evaluations, business case development, and operational delivery for existing and emerging partnerships. This role offers exposure to cross‑functional collaboration, external partner engagement, and strategic decision‑making.

As a seconded team member, the colleague will bridge internal teams and external stakeholders, helping ensure alignment to strategic objectives, timelines, and operational milestones across partnership activities.

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

Partnership Evaluation & Deal Support

  • Support evaluation of partnership opportunities.

  • Contribute to financial modeling and commercial assessments.

  • Prepare data-driven deal summaries for governance.

  • Support partnership processes for alternative or DTC channels.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Enablement, Legal, Finance, Portfolio Leads).

  • Track timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement.

Operational Support for Executed Partnerships

  • Lead Joint Steering Committee and subcommittee coordination for existing partnership, driving agendas, minutes, action tracking, and escalations.

  • Manage onboarding, access setup, and compliance‑training tracking for partnership personnel.

  • Consolidate KPI reporting and business review inputs, and flag performance risks with mitigation recommendations.

  • Escalate risks and help resolve operational challenges.

External Market & Partner Landscape Scanning

  • Develop a view of potential partners and commercialization models.

  • Contribute to partner prioritization frameworks.

Strategic Communications & Reporting

  • Prepare slides, dashboards, and senior leadership updates.

  • Document and share learnings from partnership activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • BA/BS in business, life sciences, finance, or related discipline with 12+ years of experience in strategy, business development, partnerships, or commercial operations within life sciences or healthcare.

  • Analytical capabilities including financial modeling, due diligence preparation, or competitive benchmarking.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.

  • Strong written communication and PowerPoint skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • MBA/MS in health economics, business, or related field with 10+ years of experience; OR PhD or JD with 7+ years of experience.

  • Experience supporting out-licensing, co-commercialization, or asset-transfer transactions.

  • Knowledge of mature brand strategy or tail portfolio management.

  • Interest in emerging U.S. Commercial business models.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Occasional travel up to approximately 10%.

  • There will be no change to your current work location.

  • Position is considered Flexible, and colleagues are expected to comply with Log In For Your Day (LIFYD) requirements at site location (e.g. about 2.5 days a week in office).
