What we’re looking for

We're seeking a hard working, energetic employee to help us serve our guests with our growing portfolio of vacation homes. 

The fleet dispatcher is responsible for the successful operations of the entire shuttle department for Vacasa Properties in Steamboat Springs, CO. The fleet dispatcher will help Vacasa’s Resort Services department in guest services by handling incoming calls in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.  Direct communication via two-way radios with shuttle drivers effectively delivering information regarding guest location and destination.

The fleet dispatcher is expected to understand and be capable of the operations for the Resort Services department. The dispatcher must be prepared to work weekends and holidays as necessary.

Compensation

• $21 - $24 / hour
• Sign-on Bonus: $500 will paid after 45 days of employment
• Retention Bonus: $500 will paid to those hourly employees still employed on 4/15/2024
• Must be hired by 1/15/2024 to receive both bonuses

What you’ll do

• Operate phone system, two-way radios and updates dispatch tickets.
• Answer incoming phone calls and take dispatch ticket information based on standard operating procedures.
• Fulfill guest requests with accurate and timely shuttle service.
• Dispatch calls appropriately to shuttle drivers.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with the shuttle drivers.
• Use a computer to aid in dispatch requests as needed.
• Log on call runs per shift.
• Performs other duties assigned

The skills you’ll need

• Reliable transportation required
• Good communication skills with an understanding of telephone and two-way radio systems. Must have a positive attitude, be people oriented, and able to work independently or with others as needed.
• Highly responsive and reliable 
• Strong attention to detail
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures 
• Ability to provide high priority to customer service and is able to solve problems with minimum guidance. 
• Multitasking and working in a fast paced environment with flexibility to change assignments based on business needs

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Availability to work Sunday through Saturday, early mornings and evenings as needed.
• Drive in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
• Reach overhead and below the waist
• Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist
