Client Service Representative – Veterinary ReceptionistNew Hope Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team in New Hope, PA. CSRs are valuable members of our veterinary team, and we treat them as such. As a CSR, you will be the client’s first and last impression of our hospital. It’s important that all clients feel welcome, safe, and comfortable, which is why it takes a special person who can engage with both humans and animals alike with compassion, patience and understanding. The primary responsibility of a CSR is to be efficient in front desk operations while effectively bridging communication between pet owners and our veterinary team. - Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in a polite and timely manner, both in person and over the phone
- Schedule and confirm appointments, record keeping and organization, provide estimates and invoices for payment
- Respond with compassion and empathy in stressful and emotional situations
- Maintain a clean, stocked and orderly lobby and front office area
- Educate clients on wellness plans, pet insurance, food and products sold in waiting room
- Perform opening and closing procedures, end-of-day reports and deposits
- Data entry: records, client questionnaires, referral information, etc.
- Ensure that referral letters and lab results go to the corresponding veterinarians
- Admit patient: ensure that patient is weighed and all information is current
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting, preferred
- Customer service experience (high volume or call center), preferred
- General computer skills and ability to learn multiple programs
- Proficiency in front desk equipment (fax machine, credit card machine, copy machine)
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to problem-solve
- Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively
- Team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude
- Must be able to work seated for the majority of the day
