Microsoft Project Manager

 

We currently have a career opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Solution and Program Management Office in the Microsoft Global Consulting Business Unit.

Perficient Project Managers are project administrative and analytical experts with good knowledge of the Microsoft platform. They have developed advanced skills in managing projects, resources, and client relationships. They have extensive experience in managing strategy, development, and migration projects related to Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Power Platform and/or Azure. They are client-facing consultants that possess management expertise, business analysis capabilities, quality control, and strong communication skills. They are responsible for understanding the client’s vision and project objectives for solving business challenges. They should have a strong understanding of the industry-standard project management methods including Waterfall and Scrum/Agile. They should be skilled in the use of tools such as Azure DevOps and/or Jira to lead solution development. They are responsible for ensuring that the project team executes as planned against a signed contract. In addition to project delivery, Project Managers may be called upon to contribute to pursuits with existing or new clients. Project Managers are also expected to lead and mentor consultants in developing their consulting skills.

• Create and track plans to manage contracted project scope, budget, and timeline, and manage overall project organization.
• Effectively communicate with client, project, and account teams to build relationships and manage change.
• Lead and facilitate working sessions to understand clients' goals and document requirements.
• Anticipate and document potential issues; establish and manage an escalation plan to effectively engage leadership in critical decision making.
• Oversee and at times directly engage in quality control of deliverables.
• Effectively employ AI tools to efficiently deliver projects.

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading projects within a technical environment.
• Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Must be incredibly detail-oriented.
• Experience working directly with clients and technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Technical knowledge and experience managing implementations of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Power Platform, Copilot and/or Azure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning and tracking tools, such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Microsoft Project.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Scrum Master (e.g., CSM or PSM) or Project Management (e.g., PMP) certifications preferred.
