About Craft & Chaps
At Craft, we are on a mission to redefine productivity through software. We believe that current solutions are outdated and bloated. We create products that are fun and effortless to use—software that blends into the background, allowing individuals to focus on their tasks. Our experienced team of product engineers thrives on innovation and collaboration.
Chaps is our new, AI-first product which aims to revolutionize personal productivity.
Why this role matters
We’re looking for a Product Engineer who is passionate about the frontier of AI and wants to build autonomous, multi-agent systems that solve real problems in delightful ways. This is not a typical frontend/backend role—it’s a product-centric engineering role for those who want to shape user experience by building deeply intelligent systems.
You’ll work on everything from prototype agents to production-grade AI interactions. You’ll help craft new interfaces and workflows, define agent behaviors, and contribute to the foundational architecture that powers our AI-first product.
If you’re energized by the idea of designing from the inside out, engineering novel product experiences, and working at the edge of AI, this role is for you.
What you'll do
Design and develop AI-powered agents that reason, take actions, and collaborate with users in a natural and intuitive way.
Work closely with design to prototype and iterate quickly, turning ideas into polished features.
Contribute to our agent orchestration frameworks, prompt libraries, and contextual memory systems.
Drive and own product areas—you’ll ship real features that redefine how users interact with productivity tools.
Help us scale experimentation, testing multiple approaches to intelligence and learning from user feedback.
You might be a good fit if you:
Have strong software engineering fundamentals, regardless of specific stack—frontend, backend, full stack, ML, or systems engineers are all welcome.
Have built or contributed to AI agent systems, LLM tools, or AI-native applications.
Are highly product-oriented—you care deeply about the user experience and are excited to build things users love.
Are comfortable working with LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and agent frameworks.
Thrive in small, high-ownership teams and love moving fast.
Are naturally curious, experimental, and driven by a sense of possibility.
Communicate clearly and can work well with cross-functional teams.
Our Culture
We look for individuals who appreciate well-crafted, well-built products and will go the extra mile to make software both powerful and delightful to use. You’ll actively shape both our engineering and design culture and influence how our products feel and interact.
You think outside the box. We are a small team competing against giants—success comes from innovation, creativity, and not just following the standard playbook.
You put people first. Our users and our team are at the heart of everything we do. You prioritize building professional relationships and actively engage with our vibrant Craft user community.
You're pragmatic. You expertly balance technical excellence and creative exploration with practical, impactful outcomes.
You're a great communicator. Your ability to clearly express ideas and collaborate effectively across teams drives significant impact on the Craft experience.
