About the Department:

• The pharmacy at Montrose Regional Health is a health care service, which comprises the art, practice, and profession of choosing, preparing, storing, compounding, and dispensing medicines and medical devices, advising patients, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals on their safe, effective and efficient use.

About The Career:

• The Pharmacy intern under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs a wide variety of technical and clinical duties. The intern assists the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care to inpatients, outpatients, and various hospital departments. This position is involved in pharmacy data processing, inventory control, ordering, preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounds and other duties within the department.

All About You:

• Enrolled in a School of Pharmacy required.
• Current Colorado pharmacy intern license required.
• Competency in sterile product and chemotherapy preparation preferred.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital environment preferred.
