Core Responsibilities

55% Maintenance Project Management

  • Responsible for day to day processes of communication, efficiency and cost control of the delivery of Lifecycle Maintenance projects within Global LBR Stores.
  • Focusing on defining and developing the scope of individual stores requirements; HVAC, Flooring, Digital, Lighting, Decoration etc.
  • Responsible for the global LBR organization and liaising with external vendors and The LEGO Groups internal partners for complete clarity of all projects.
  • Working with Vendors/ suppliers to ensure the best solutions are in place whilst challenging deliverables with the Global Retail Teams.
  • Drives alignment with Global Retail Team to ensure smooth flow across Store Development and Operations.
  • Coordinates contribution of information and archives to internal Lifecycle Maintenance SharePoint site; ensuring standard process and simplicity.
  • Responsible for raising orders, timely budget tracking, reconciliation and recap, for current/up to date status of all Lifecycle Maintenance projects; bringing up concerns/issues immediately.
  • Stewardship in budget planning, tracking and recap meetings with the Programme Manager and key partners.
  • Responsible for delivering small adhoc and reactive projects whilst handling external Vendors to meet timelines.
  • Lead all aspects of processes related to external Lifecycle Maintenance partners, sharing ownership with Construction Project Managers.
  • Responsible for delivering to targets, timelines and budgets of all Lifecycle Maintenance projects.
  • Responsible for on and offsite project management of Vendors and partners to deliver quality and Health & Safety standards for Lifecycle Maintenance.

25% Partner and Internal Department Management and Collaboration:

  • Active Participation in Global Retail cross function/alignment meetings.
  • Drives AAR yearly, analyzing and capturing of historical data and trends to promote competitive advantage in future years.
  • Active collaboration required to drive in-store maintenance and store infrastructure.
  • Drives continuous alignment of processes across markets.
  • Leads all aspects of the coordination and process of Global incoming and outgoing information.
  • Responsible for all information with/from Global Finance for accurate cost control and budget management.
  • Lead International fixtures’ logistics, planning and troubleshooting for Lifecycle Maintenance projects.
  • Focal point with Global Procurement, driving contract negotiation and exchange.

10% Vendor Management

  • Driver of establishing new relationships within the vendor portfolio, while maintaining the strength of current vendor relationships.
  • Supporting the owner of fixture inventory for Store Development; ensuring routine tracking, reconciliation, and recaps as necessary.
  • Owner of the planning, inventory coordination and communication with centralized Warehouse to include asset management and reclassify equipment.
  • Responsible for continually evaluating the external relationship and processes as set currently; empowered to challenge details, in an effort to streamline, improve and gain insight.

10% Other

  • Evaluation, feedback, and accountability tracking using measurable values and behavior.
  • 1:1 meetings with internal and external partners to share/provide feedback, constructive criticism and value adding benefit.
  • Meetings with Senior Director to supervise own performance and teams performance.

One of Retail Development’s department’s focus is to support the Retail growth plan, by optimally and efficiently achieving the goal of building and maintaining profitable and viable Brand Retail Flagship and LEGO Brand Retail Stores. This includes collaboration, whilst acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of the Retail team members as well as third party/external Project Managers, Vendors and General Contractors. It also includes a strong focus on defining and streamlining processes, as well as overall cost and quality control.

As part of the global Construction and Project Management Team, this role tactically is responsible for the delivery of the Lifecycle Maintenance Projects of the department in support of the LEGO growth initiative by achieving and delivering goals according to plan. This role
