Description
Provide general support to the SRC Industrial Security Program by assisting with the implementation of National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements and other special access program requirements of the Department of Defense and other U.S. Government customers. Responsible for managing security clearance and physical badging processes for employees, contractors, and other personnel using DoD systems of record and internal security systems. Ensures compliance with company security policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. Supports all aspects of personnel security, including onboarding briefings; access control measures; and maintaining secure handling of sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Background Investigations:
- Initiate pre-employment clearance investigations and ongoing reinvestigations
- Coordinate with government and third-party agencies regarding security clearance processing
- Review and evaluate company background check results, escalating issues as needed
- Personnel Security Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with applicable security policies, such as NISPOM and applicable Executive Orders
- Track and manage personnel security files and clearance statuses
- Maintain records in accordance with security regulations and data privacy laws
- Badging & Access Control
- Administer employee and contractor badge issuance, replacement, and deactivation
- Maintain accurate badge logs and access permissions
- Verify authorization levels before granting access to secure areas
- Work with IT and Physical Security teams to troubleshoot access control issues and manage credentialing systems
- Collect badges during offboarding and ensure access revocation in a timely manner.
- Foreign Travel Reporting:
- Receive official and unofficial foreign travel notifications from cleared personnel
- Ensure required foreign travel documentation is complete and processed through corporate database, DoD system of record, and third-party travel website
- Security Training & Awareness:
- Provide new hire security orientation and annual security awareness training
- Promote understanding of personnel security responsibilities, including handling and protecting sensitive information
- Risk Mitigation:
- Assess security risks related to personnel and access control
- Assist with investigations of security incidents involving personnel, credentials, or facility access
- Provide documentation and reports for audits and reviews
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR, Recruiting, IT, Physical Security, and others to support all personnel security requests and access control measures.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding clearance status, badge issues, and security-related concerns

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance with eligibility for upgrade to TOP SECRET
- 1-3 years of experience in personnel security, facility access control, or a related field
- Familiarity with government clearance processes and databases (e.g., SF-86, eAPP, DISS, NBIS)
- Experience using access control systems (e.g., Lenel, Honeywell, HID, Genetec, etc)
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to present orientation and other briefings and assist with ongoing training activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Teams, security databases, and access control platforms
Desired Skills
- Security or access control certifications are a plus
- Ideal candidates will have experience as a Security Generalist, Assistant FSO, or related position
Clearance Information
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
Travel Requirements
- Some travel (up to 10%; CONUS) may be required for audits, training, or coordination with other facilities on an ad hoc basis
