The Position: We are looking for a Per Diem Youth Care Worker, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Per Diem Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing professional Child Care Services in a culturally sensitive, trauma informed manner while serving as a positive role model in the unaccompanied children's shelter.
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range we’re offering is $20.00- $22.00 hourly depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:
- Preferred bilingual in Spanish
- High school Diploma or equivalent degree and a minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office-related software
- Possess superior oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Able to work independently and organize multiple projects with minimum supervision
- Able to work as a team member
- Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and staff
- Able represent the agency professionally and appropriately with all constituencies
- Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
- Ability to drive to various sites on and off campus
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
- Ability to physically restrain children (if needed)
- VACCINATIONS REQUIRED: Be able to show proof of immunization or immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route, including:
- Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
- MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.
- Tdap: one Tdap dose.
- Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.
