Head of Firmwide Resiliency Product Management - Managing Director

About the role

The Firmwide Resiliency Office (FRO) within the Office of the CFO is responsible for the design of the firm’s Resiliency Program, including governance, framework, operating model, reporting and product management. FRO collaborates closely with the firm’s senior leadership, the Line of Business and Functional Resiliency teams as well as key functions such as Global Technology, Global Supplier Services, Control Management, Risk Management & Compliance and Audit to ensure that the resiliency program is commensurate with the risk taking activities of the firm. 

As a key member of the management team, this leader will serve as the Head of Firmwide Resiliency Product Management responsible for defining and delivering product strategy and outcomes across Firmwide Resiliency. The role will manage the development of a more integrated resiliency product strategy and directly manage the firmwide resiliency aligned product management teams, data management and governance team, AI/ML strategy and oversee the associated change management activity. Furthermore, the role will partner extensively with related product teams that inform and contribute to the overall Firmwide Resiliency Framework such as Cyber & Tech Controls, Corporate Third Party Oversight and the wider Chief Administrative Office. The role is responsible for delivering transformational change in how the firmwide resiliency community uses data to prepare for and respond to resiliency events and driving further integration with the wider operating environment as we increasingly position resiliency as a risk management discipline informing wider decision making across the firm.  

Job responsibilities: 

  • Product Strategy, Vision and Roadmap Planning: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall Firmwide Resiliency strategy. Create and maintain a product roadmap that spans across Firmwide Resiliency, inclusive of key related products.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership, Stakeholder Management and Customer Focus: Collaborate with engineering, design/research, framework/op model, controls, and other teams (inclusive of LOBs) to ensure successful product development and launch. Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback, manage expectations, and ensure alignment on dependent product goals and priorities.
  • Product Development: Oversee the product development lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to partnering with our Technology team regarding design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Integration: Integrate resiliency products and the broader operating environment through aligning capabilities and underlying source data (e.g. technology, cyber, outsourcing, facilities) 
  • Data Management, Governance and Performance Monitoring: Oversee the data management activity and adherence to the firm’s data risk management program and the level 1 system support (operate function). Track and analyze product performance metrics to assess the success of capabilities and manage associated defects.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure that product initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Change Management: Oversee an effective change management program aligned to the overall Resiliency lifecycle
  • AI/ML Strategy: oversee the management of use-cases, prioritization and adoption of AI/ML capabilities as an integral part of the wider product strategy

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Extensive product delivery and/or Systems experience in a complex financial organization
  • Outstanding people leader with a passion for using tools, technology, and process re-engineering to make Resiliency employees’ day-to-day work more effective and enjoyable
  • Demonstrated ability to deploy new technologies and influence appropriate business process changes
  • Robust, expert working knowledge of product operating model, agile practices and data governance practices required
  • Effective approach to negotiation, collaboration, and innovation across multiple personas and functions
  • Exhibits critical strategic thinking skills and thoughtful, data-driven decision making
  • Understanding of Risk and Control technology
  • Proven ability to think “outside the box” and come up with innovative solutions to deliver improvements in productivity at scale and drive successful outcomes
  • Proven ability to act independently with excellent decision-making skills and work well under pressure 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience working in a demanding global environment
  • Ability to build and motivate high-performance teams with a global focus
  • Superior verbal and written communication, especially with senior-level management
